Made in Canada, North Shield black ASTM Level 3 surgical masks combine four-layer construction with a uniform black exterior and black inner layer. Each tamper-sealed box contains 50 lightweight, ear-loop masks designed to fit most adults.

Appearance of the inner layer
The side worn against the face may appear less uniformly black than the exterior. The layers are arranged black, black, white filter and black from outside to inside. Because the black non-woven polypropylene inner layer sits next to the white filter layer, some of the lighter material may remain visible through the randomly arranged fibres. This appearance is related to the layered construction and does not by itself indicate a defect.
